SCI & MATH EDUC – AST/ASC/FULL PROFESSOR

Prob, 9-month basis, 100% time. Salary commensurate with qualifications.

DUTIES: The successful candidate will conduct research and teach  
undergraduate and graduate courses. Additional duties will vary  
depending on departmental tenure home within the College of Natural  
Science, university and academic unit needs, and the candidate's  
experience and interests. Involvement in continuing collaborations  
among faculty interested in teaching and learning in STEM disciplines  
is expected. We hold a preference to hire at the Assistant Professor  
level, with priority given to research interests in teaching and  
learning at the undergraduate level in the life sciences. Exceptional  
candidates at any level, and with interests in any field of science

QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in a disciplinary science. Other degree  
requirements: Life sciences discipline as a priority. Qualifications  
other than degree: Applicants are expected to hold a doctorate in a  
disciplinary science or a related field; demonstrate scholarly  
accomplishment or promise through published material; provide evidence  
of the capacity to contribute to the intellectual, research, and  
instructional life of MSU. The College of Natural Science continues to  
build its priority initiatives in science and mathematics education.
