MSU Faculty Presenters * Ian Dworkin, Zoology * Dan Hayes, Fisheries and Wildlife * Marianne Huebner, Statistics and Probability * Qing Lu, Epidemiology * Shinhan Shiu, Plant Biology * Alla Sikorskii, Statistics and Probability As part of the International Year of Statistics 2013 supported by many professional organizations we are organizing a Statistics in Applications Forum at MSU on October 1 (http://www.stt.msu.edu/iys2013). Presenters are continually updated as the information becomes available. The Statistics in Applications Forum will showcase application in high throughput data technologies, health sciences research, biological sciences, where statistical methods play an important role. The purpose is to promote awareness of the breadth of statistical applications and facilitate interactions between researchers from different fields. Fellowships will be awarded for the best three student posters (criteria are posted on the website). Dr. Steven Hsu, Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, will make introductory remarks. The keynote speaker is Dr. Trivellore Ragunathan, University of Michigan. This event is sponsored by the Department of Statistics and Probability, the Center for Statistical Training and Consulting, The Graduate School, Michigan State University.
