ARE YOU A YOUNG ADULT WHO WANTS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

The Michigan Breast Cancer Coalition would like to invite all interested MSU-JMC students

to come to an informative presentation “Understanding Breast Cancer” that will address the

causes, risk factors and challenges breast cancer presents and delve into the science behind

the disease to take place Tuesday, April 17th at 6:30pm in the JMC Library.

The Michigan Breast Cancer Coalition (MiBCC) in partnership with the National Breast

Cancer Coalition (NBCC) is offering opportunities for interested and passionate students who

want to make a difference and contribute to changing research, health care delivery systems

and public policy in breast cancer to become “Emerging Leaders” in the State of Michigan,

travel to Washington,DC and participate with other students in a national training program.

NBCC is a pioneer in education and training programs teaching breast cancer advocacy leaders

the science, research and public policy behind the disease.

Applications are available each year and those chosen to attend will receive scholarship support.

Three students from JMC will participate in the “Emerging Leaders” program in May and will be

attending the April 17th event.  For further information on the “Emerging Leaders” program please
