Attached for your review is a list of 32 recently posted internships (plus 30 recent part time or summer job openings) that are either on MSU’s campus or within 10 miles of campus.  All 62 student jobs are posted on the MySpartanCareer website.  It pays to review the attached list and apply for jobs as soon as possible as employers sometimes close postings before the listed deadline. 

 

You can learn more about AND apply for jobs through the free online www.MySpartanCareer.com service.

 

Once at MySpartanCareer, you'll need to set up an account with your profile and by uploading a copy of your resume.  With your profile and resume in place, you'll be able to search for job openings and submit applications by clicking on the "Apply" button next to the job description.  Here’s a MySpartanCareer video tutorial if you need help setting up your account.

 

To quickly locate a specific job posting, click on “Jobs” tab, select the “view jobs” option and then write the job ID number in the "Keywords" box and then click on the “search” button.  This should take you straight to the job description and “Apply” button, should you meet the hiring criteria established by the employer.  (If you can’t find a job after this search, then the job posting has likely been closed by the employer – sorry.)

  2. Click on ADVISING on the right side of the screen.
  3. Click on CURRENT STUDENT and log in.  (it works for recent alums as well)
  4. Click on LIST OF ADVISORS
  5. Select James Madison College-JAIMIE HUTCHISON, Field Consultant from the list and you will see all of my available openings for at least the next two weeks at a time.
  6. Choose a time that works for you and sign up electronically.

 

If the appointment time you sign up for will not work for you, please go back into the system and remove your name from that time, that way another student will have access to that appointment time.
