Many foreign policy and national security professionals began their careers as interns.  At The Institute of World Politics, we offer the opportunity for current undergraduate students, as well as recent college graduates, to spend a summer as an Academic Intern exploring the intellectual and professional dimensions of national security, intelligence, and international affairs.

Academic Interns have the opportunity to:

  • Research      under one of our seasoned scholar-practitioners
  •
  • Attend      lectures and seminars relevant to today’s most salient strategic issues
  •
  • Unofficially      audit our graduate-level      courses
  •
  • Explore      careers in national security, intelligence, and international affairs
  •
  • Experience      the sights and sounds of Washington,       D.C.

We are currently accepting applications for our Summer 2012 Academic Internship Program.  The deadline to apply is April 2nd, and applications are available online. Applicants should have a strong background in political science, history, or international affairs, and an expressed interest in pursuing graduate studies or careers in our fields of study.

If you know a student who might be interested in pursuing an internship at The Institute of World Politics, please share this email, or have him contact [log in to unmask]">Andrew Horner for more information.
