Summer Internship Available:
This
paid internship provides funding for a student to work with the Department of
Public Works of the

details:

The internship will begin May 14, 2012 and end August 17, 2012. Hours of work
may be flexible, so long as the principal objectives (learn the CUPSS software,
use it to complete the asset management program, and write a final report) are
achieved.

The intern will be required to provide the committee and the Section with a
written report of experiences with using the software and developing the asset
management program.

The intern will be required to make a formal presentation of this report at the
Section’s annual conference in September 2012 (at Shanty Creek Resort in

The intern will receive payment of $3000.00. The first half the payment will be
made after the first six weeks of the internship. The second half of the
payment will be made after the written summary report is submitted to the
internship funders.
Preferred
(but not required) majors: Environmental Economics and Policy; Environmental
Studies and Agriscience; Accounting; General Management. Areas of
interest/experience should include learning and applying computer software,
basic accounting, working independently with minimal formal direction, strong
written and oral communication skills.
Pursuing
academic credit for the internship is preferred and should be facilitated by
the report and presentation that will be required.
