Michigan State
University has been invited to nominate one student to serve as a member of the
2012 – 2013 class of Presidential Fellows: http://www.thepresidency.org/what-we-do/current-programs/presidential-fellows-program
Please let your
faculty and students know about this impressive opportunity and encourage
students to apply by March 12, 2012. The eligibility criteria are noted
below:
1.) All majors are welcome to
apply; however, typical majors and minors of successful applicants include:
political science, public affairs, history, international affairs, business,
philosophy, economics, public health, and journalism.
2.)
Strong academic credentials; minimum GPA of
3.5 or higher.
3.) Demonstrated interest in public
policy, international affairs, and / or the institutions of the Presidency and
the Congress.
4.)
Open to undergraduate seniors; graduate
students and advanced underclassmen are also welcome.
Students should submit
the “Intent to Apply” form (https://nifs.msu.edu/webform/msu-nifs-internal-application-intent-apply
) as soon as possible. In addition, all application materials for the
Presidential Fellows Program MUST be submitted to the MSU National/International
Fellowship and Scholarship (NIFS) Office ([log in to unmask]">[log in to unmask])
by March 12th, 2012. Attached, you will find detailed information specific to
the Presidential Fellows Program which will help students complete their
applications.
