Just learned of an event of potential interest and thought I’d share.
The first ever World Information Architecture Day (WIAD) is being held on February 11, 2012. This year’s WIAD focuses on Designing Structures for Understanding, and events are being hosted in 14 cities around the world. One of the 14 cities is Ann Arbor, Michigan. The event is being held on the UM campus, 9:00am – 4:30pm, followed by networking reception. Speakers include: Peter Morville, Karl Fast, Shari Thurow, Chris Farnum, and Abby Covert. From what I can tell the event is free of charge. For more information, see: http://worldiaday.org/locations/ann-arbor-mi-usa.
