Spartan LINKS - On the Road

Working in Nonprofits

 

The Spartan LINKS "On the Road" series is designed for MSU students
interested in networking with employers, exploring various professions,
touring employer facilities, making friends, and discovering new cities.  No
specific major required. 

 

Join us "On the Road" in Lansing on Friday, February 24 from 8:30 a.m. -
12:30 p.m.  We will be touring the newly renovated Marshall Street Armory
that is home to the Capital Area United Way, Michigan Nonprofit Association,
Michigan Association of United Ways, Capital Region Community Fund, Big
Brothers Big Sisters, and the Food Bank Council of Michigan.  Hear about
what it's like to work in nonprofits directly from professionals in the
field.

Application materials should include: 1) resume; 2) a one page
(double-spaced) statement addressing the following: 

*	What are your professional goals and ambitions?
*	Why would the Spartan LINKS "On the Road" program be a great
opportunity for you?
*	What would you like to gain from this experience? 

 

*Include at the top of your statement: Name, Year in School, Current Major
and Anticipated Graduation Date

 

The APPLICATION DEADLINE is Monday, February 13, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. and only
fully completed applications will be considered.  We will be taking no more
than 40 participants on this trip.
