Subject: Special IT Exchange Meeting This Friday, October 28
Libraries, Computing and Technology is hosting a technical discussion of the
future of IPv6 addressing at MSU. This discussion is aimed at IT network and
system administrators who have an interest in understanding what the
deployment of IPv6 will mean for IT systems at MSU. It will have an emphasis
on the key technical issues and planning horizons.
The discussion will be held this Friday, October 28, 2011, in 115 Eppley.
Coffee and donuts will be available at 8:00 a.m. A short presentation on
technical issues related to IPv6 will start at 8:30 a.m. and will lead into
a discussion about the upcoming IPv6 beta rollout date of January 9, 2012.
There will be time for questions and open discussion until 10:00 a.m.
The discussion will be led by Academic Technology Services Network Services
staff members Doug Nelson, Joe Budzyn, and Jeff Goeke-Smith.
