Come Grow With Us!
The George Jones Memorial Farm is a 70 acre farm managed by the New
Agrarian Center (NAC). The NAC's goal is to develop a dynamic
Agrarian Learning & Training Center that is integrated with a
financially-viable farm. Our operation features inter-linked agrarian
enterprises that combine ecological restoration with intensive
agricultural production in an urban-influenced region of Northeast
Ohio. We grow for a CSA, Oberlin College Dining Services, City Fresh
and the community.
We are seeking a dedicated, energetic and skilled Farmer who will
combine management skills, farm skills, a amiable personality and
dedication to growing food in a sustainable manner with a commitment
to the George Jones Farm as a business enterprise. Resumes must be

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Intensive agricultural position responsible for the daily operation
of the farm.
Upkeep and cleanliness of the farm grounds and buildings.
Supervision of interns and volunteers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Deep interest and enthusiasm for organic farming.
2-3 years experience in farming.
Excellent interpersonal/ communication skills.
Positive personal interaction skills.
General problem solving abilities.
Ability to work cooperatively.
Strong organizational and collaborative problem-solving skills.
Mechanical and construction skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience growing a variety of crops using sustainable methods.
Experience in supervising employees, volunteers and students.
