Subject: MSU Technology Showcase Announcement & Sign Up

 

Colleagues,

 

The MSU Technology Showcase 2011 will take place on Friday, February 25,
2011. This is the fourth annual event in this series, and is sponsored by
the College of Engineering, the College of Education, and the Office of
Libraries, Computing, and Technology.

 

The theme of MSU Techology Showcase 2011 is "Mobile Apps, Google Apps,
Everywhere Apps." 

 

How it works:  We begin with lunch and a brief keynote statement.
Participants who want to show their work then take up positions at computer
monitors scattered about in designated rooms on the first floor of Erickson
Hall.  Think poster sessions, but with laptop computers instead of physical
posters.  Bring your own laptop, and use the monitors provided in the rooms.
Lunch starts at 11:30 a.m., and the whole thing ends before 1:30 p.m.

 

This year's theme is to encourage as demonstrators anyone who wants to show
a mobile application, or use of Google Apps, or other computer application
they have developed, either for instruction or research.  

 

We are just now in the set up phase for the event. If you are interested in

We will get back to you with further details.

 

It is only with your and your colleagues' participation that this event can
continue to be a success.  In the past this has been a fun and collegial
event that provided opportunities for sharing ideas.
