Subject: Workshop: Role of Social Media in Organizations - Tomorrow

 

We are delighted to offer a workshop on the Role of Social Media in
Organizations, presented by Dr. Cliff Lampe, Assistant Professor in the
Department of Telecommunication, Information Studies and Media.  Dr. Lampe's
workshop is scheduled for this Friday, December 3, 10:30-noon in #6 Student
Services.  This presentation has been very well received by staff in
Residential and Hospitality Services and at the City of East Lansing.  It
promises to be energizing and informative.

 

Dr. Lampe uses this presentation to highlight his research on the growing
trends and avenues for social media, especially those often employed by
organizations like local governments and higher education departments/units.
Perhaps, most helpful, Dr. Lampe will also talk about the amount of time,
energy and resource that is needed to make a venture into social media
worthwhile for your organization.   

 

This conversation will benefit those already involved in social media,
either as part of an office effort, or as the primary person responsible for
social media.  It will also help those considering a plunge into social
media to better understand the investment and the strategy involved.
