Michigan State University's Academic Technology Services department will launch a major upgrade to MSU?s centrally supported e-mail service, mail.msu.edu, in late December 2008. In preparation for the upgrade, a beta version of the new system, beta.mail.msu.edu, is now available for those in the MSU community who would like to begin using or previewing the new features.
Users will find the look and feel of the new service to be significantly different but will retain their @[log in to unmask] e-mail address. Storage space has increased as part of this upgrade. Students increased from 128 MB to 512 MB; faculty, staff and graduate students increased to 1 GB.
