You can ONLY install Ex2007 SP1 on 2008, so yes, you will need to integrate
SP1 into the RTM version before installing.

Subject: [MSUNAG] installing ex2007 RTM on server 2008 incompatible?

 

Does anyone know for sure if you need the SP1 integrated media to install
EX2007 on Server 2008?  When I try using the RTM media I get errors for
every role saying the version of the installed OS cannot be used with EX
2007.
