If you are a farmer AND a woman or a person of minority and would like to attend the 2006 (Nov 10-12) in Tustin, MI (south of Cadillac) there will be a scholarship for you. We have just learned of a new grant from the Risk Management Agency to help growers attend the CSA conference. The grant is so new that we don't know the procedures yet, nor are we clear on eligibility. All we know is that you must be a Michigan grower and a woman, minority or at financial risk. If you are interested in the conference but can't afford it call right away; we hope to know more about the process and requirements today or tomorrow. If you know anyone who could benefit from this, let them (or us) know ASAP. You can email the conference committee at [log in to unmask] CSA Conference in Michigan, November 10-12, 2006 http://www.csafarms.org to see the full program of the conference.
