songbirds.

Since 2006, biologists from the Bureau of Land Management and its partners
have been applying fire and mechanical methods to reduce the influence of
mesquite invasion into semi-desert grasslands on the Las Cienegas National
Conservation Area. We have surveyed birds in this area since 2005.
