Ecological Modeler

Location: Knoxville, TN or any US office
General Job Description:
Cardno ENTRIX is seeking a Senior Ecological Modeler to work with a
multidisciplinary team of accomplished biologists, hydrologists, geologists,
engineers and planners on a variety of projects, primarily in the Eastern
Region of the U.S. Office location is open but the preferred location would
be our Knoxville, TN.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
1. Client Interaction
2. Developing and applying ecological models 3. Performing numerical
sensitivity and uncertainty analysis 4. Preparing reports/publications
Basic Qualifications:
1. PhD in aquatic ecology with emphasis on systems analysis and ecological
modeling 2. Minimum of 5 years experience developing and applying ecological
models (10-15 years preferred) 3. Prior experience performing numerical
sensitivity and uncertainty analysis 4. Demonstrated ability to work
directly with clients and initiating modeling projects 5. Work familiarity
with current frameworks and guidelines for ecological risk assessment and
natural resource damage assessment.
6. Experience in modeling diverse physical, chemical and biological
stressors in aquatic systems.
7. Ability to program in Fortan, C++, Visual Basic or related programming
languages 8. Must be authorized to work in the US without company
sponsorship
