Subject: Biological Interns (6) on Mohave Ground Squirrel Project at CSU Stanislaus
BIOLOGICAL INTERN – 6 POSITIONS AVAILABLE Full-time, temporary, grant-funded positions available on or after March 1, 2012 and ending on or before July 31, 2012 with the Endangered Species Recovery Program, a cooperative research program on biodiversity conservation in central California administered by California State University, Stanislaus. This position will be based in the Mojave Desert.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Under general supervision, the Biological Intern will assist in conducting field studies of the Mohave ground squirrel in the Mojave Desert. Duties will include, but are not limited to: Operate trail cameras in support of a Mohave ground squirrel survey on public lands in the western Mojave Desert. Drive to remote study sites to service cameras in early morning hours before sun-up.
HOURLY RATE RANGE: $13.50 - $14.50 per hour. POSITIONS ARE OPEN UNTIL FILLED. SCREENING OF APPLICATIONS IS IMMEDIATE AND CONTINUOUS.
