Everyone,

As a reminder:

The document that provides guidance for reporting security issues at
Michigan State University is located on the lct.msu.edu web site under
"guidelines and policies".

This is the full url:
http://eis.msu.edu/documents/guidelines_for_internal_and_external_reporting_1jan11.pdf

If you have a security incident, concern, or question, please call the ATS
Helpdesk at 432-6200. These issues are forwarded to my team Network Management
and Security.

Security issues that should be reported include compromised or malware
infected computers that contain or have access to Confidential Data and
the misuse of Confidential Data by someone who is authorized to access that
data.

Confidential Data is defined in the Institutional Data Policy in Appendix I.
Examples of Confidential Data include: Social security numbers,
payment card numbers, bank account numbers, health records, student records,
and more. Please see the complete list contained in:
http://eis.msu.edu/documents/institutional_data_policy_dec10.pdf
