Wildlife Telemetry Field Technician
Position available for field technician to conduct wildlife telemetry
surveys of Rusty Blackbirds in northern New Hampshire, June 27 through
August 19. Job requires location of telemetered birds; documenting detailed
wildlife observations; use of map, compass and GPS; off-trail hiking;
working alone under variable field conditions; ability to follow established
survey and observation protocols; willingness to collaborate with other
researchers; ability to live harmoniously in group housing; respect for
private property; ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
The successful applicant will be passionate about avian field research, have
previous field experience in remote location, be physically fit, able to
hike 5 miles over wet and uneven terrain, tolerant of blood-sucking insects
in high densities; able to operate four-wheel drive vehicle and ATV. Must
have valid driver's license. Telemetry experience desirable. Send resume and
