As part of WWF's ongoing work in Coastal East Africa, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and delivering key conservation objectives on Vamizi Island, part of an international ecotourism development, and in the surrounding islands of Rongui, Macaloe and in Quiterajo on the mainland (Application Deadline: 26 November 2010). Duties and Responsibilities The post holder will lead WWF's programme of work in the Vamizi region. Whilst this is a WWF staff position, the post holder will be a critical member of the Vamizi Island Management team, feeding into the Environmental and Social planning processes and plans. They will also work closely with WWF Mozambique and the Coastal East Africa Network Initiative and country offices, as well as with other relevant offices and staff around the network. The use of remote communications will be critical. Whilst some travel should be expected, the position will be based on Vamizi Island in Mozambique.
