The vacancy announcement, NMFS-NER-2010-0063(DE) and NMFS-NER-2010-0065
(MAP), Fishery Biologist (ZP-0482-2), will open today, September 01, 2010
and will close September 21, 2010.

This vacancy located at the Northeast Regional Office in the Protected
Resources Division, Orono, ME.

The individual selected for this position will:
*	Serve as a biologist within the Endangered Species Program of the
Protected Resources Division to assist in conducting, implementing,
monitoring and tracking section 7 consultations under the Endangered Species
Act for Atlantic salmon from the Gulf of Maine DPS. These consultations are
in the estuarine/marine environment and will be predominantly with federal
action agencies such as DOT, EPA, and ACOE. 
*	Review proposed activities and actions related to Atlantic salmon to
determine potential impact on listed species and their habitats and make
appropriate recommendations to avoid or minimize those impacts. 
*	Work with other federal agencies, state agencies, conservation
organizations, researchers and interested and affected parties to obtain
information on species and activities.
