We looked at these last year, trying to find a replacement for WebTrends
which we had been using for years, but which had grown too complicated and
too expensive. We chose SawMill http://www.sawmill.net/, primarily because
it was the only low-priced one that seemed serious about identifying visits
from spiders and eliminating them from the stats. Unfortunately, their Lite
version, which is free, probably won't meet most people's needs. We went
with a 5-profile license for SawMill Professional, which was $320 with the
educational discount.
