I performed Chris's test and took a screen shot of it, cropped it and
saved it as a Windows BMP file (so that each pixel's value is saved as
is, avoiding the averaging/quantizing which would happen if I'd saved it
in a compressed format such as JPG, GIF or PNG).

I then opened the BMP file in a graphics program which reports the color
value of any pixel you click on. Do you want to guess what the color
value of all the points in the sample in the PDF file was?

Yep, they're all #004f39, the "old" value, not the new.

This BMP file is now on the web at
http://www.pa.msu.edu/people/perkins/msu-green-compare.bmp
in all its 24-bit color glory (as such, it's a bit over 1 MB in size,
but in these broadband days, that's not too unreasonable).
