These positions will be located at the Woods Hole (MA) Cottage, which houses activities of the Fishery Biology Program, part of the National Marine Fisheries Service, Northeast Fisheries Science Center, Fisheries Ecosystems Monitoring and Analysis Division (FEMAD), Population Biology Branch (PBio). Successful candidates will ensure completion of aging for designated species by determining ages as required, coordinating re- aging of 10-20% of samples, conducting precision exercises as required and maintaining acceptable levels of precision, and selecting representative age structures for reference collection; prepare age structures for age determination; assist in maintaining the age database; support biological sample collection activities and special projects; foster a safe work environment and effectively use information technology resources.
