Okay, apparently what's happened is that the users who are
experiencing these problems effectively have "two" google accounts.
One created prior to the formation of the Team Edition (and the
subsequent formation of the Apps for Education Edition), and then a
"new" Apps for Education Edition account (automatically created by a
provisioning process, which Google provided to us).
In this case, Google has stated that the users will need to export
their data from their existing google services, and import it into the
"Google Apps for Education" account. This seems funky to me, but
Google claims it is the only solution.
I have been working through the ATS Help Desk to walk the people who
have had trouble though the export/import process (still a small
handful of people who have reported an issue).
At this point in time, if you have any issues, please work them
through the Help Desk and we'll deal with them that way (it will help
with documenting cases, and providing a central point of contact).
Once we get the SSO, documentation, and Help Desk training done, we
will publish an announcement stating that the Google Apps for
Education Edition is live and ready to go, and outline the Terms of
Service and recommended usage.
