Good Afternoon,
I'd like to welcome you to the e-mail list of the MSU Web Development
Community for Advising, Facilitating, and Enabling (MSU WebDevCAFÉ). As
indicated in the message you received last Friday (attached), this list is
taking up where the MSU Webmasters list left off and will continue to be a
campus-wide communication tool for folks engaged in web development at MSU.
As a subscriber, you may post to the list by sending your e-mail message to
[log in to unmask] An archive of postings (including those of the MSU
Webmasters list, is available at:
http://list.msu.edu/archives/webdevcafe.html.
The list is only part of a larger effort to establish the MSU WebDevCAFÉ as
an active and supportive professional community for anyone working on web
sites, applications, services, etc. at MSU. I hope the CAFÉ will become a
big tent, welcoming participation by programmers, designers, information
architects, writers, ui developers, usability and accessibility specialists,
and other -- whether they are staff, faculty, or students. Beginning this
fall, the CAFÉ will hold quarterly campus-wide forums on topics of general
interest. In order to organize forums of broad interest, we will convene
monthly planning meetings open to all.
You are invited to the first monthly planning meeting of the MSU WebDevCAFÉ:
Friday June 26th, 2:30-3:30pm, at 318 Computer Center (a full schedule of
all meetings is forthcoming)
All CAFÉ members are also invited to a meeting of the MSU Communicators
featuring a discussion with the team implementing the Hanon Hill content
management system for MSU:
Thursday, July 9th, 2009 8:30-10:00am, at the Erickson Kiva
I hope you'll consider becoming involved with MSU WebDevCAFÉ. Through our
collective input, creativity, and energy the MSU WebDevCAFÉ can provide a
space for rich discussion, professional development, and a sense of
community.
Take Care,
Burt
