I realized I need to be more specific here. I have been using the campus spam processing all along, getting "***** SPAM *****" added to suspected spam messages, and rendering this all through Eudora with no problem up to now. So turning on spam processing for *all* incoming email cannot be the culprit here, since I had it on before. Something else happened to the spam filtering process itself, and I am curious about that.
Thanks again to all, -- dkm
