In the interest of playing devil's advocate: There are non-MSU-specific
web forums all over the web. (Google reports 61,700,000 results on a
search for "web forum".) What need is there of another? The value here
is for MSU-specific conversations.
On related note: I would hope that announcements and other
informational postings would still be posted to the webmasters listserv,
leaving discussions on the forum -- I will likely never participate in
the forum due to a lack of time, but would still like to see relevant
announcements to the MSU web-developer community.
