Thank you, all, for the responses.
Somebody is willing to underwrite the request for the forum. If things
go smoothly, the forum should be available in less than 2 weeks. 

My original thought was this forum is indeed for MSU-specific
conversations, as Brian Hoort suggested.  Although, given the
relationships within the group, it could be for non-MSU specific topics
as well especially if would help our day to day job.   

Pat Bills indicated that some topics might fall under both webmasters
and IT Exchange and I think that's unavoidable.  I'd think topics on the
webmasters forum would be more specific to the web developers.    

Davin's idea opening this forum up to anybody sounds good, although Pat
and Atiq Warraich also mentioned security concerns and I agree with
them.   Let's discuss this further.
