The problem with using cheaper certificates is that the signers are  
not always recognized by all pieces of software. Many cheap cert  
places will say that they are recognized by all browsers. Which is  
great, but what about all mail clients?  I know Eudora has had  
problems in the past with recognizing cheap cert providers as valid  
signers.
