I certainly don't have a problem with this. I do this for all of my
servers (many gigs, at least once daily), and I'm sure AIS does this for
a number of servers around campus.

Having data in two separate physical locations is definitely a step in
the right direction. Of course, an off-site backup is better, but two
buildings on campus is a big +++.
