I've had pretty good luck with Yosemite Tapeware on both Linux and Novell Netware servers. I'm currently using this as the default backup for my SUSE Enterprise 9.2 servers, and plan to migrate all my Novell Netware servers to it shortly. Installation and configuration were a breeze in SUSE, and it took about 15 minutes to install the software and set up a backup rotation schedule. Your mileage may vary, of course, but I recommend it. http://www.yosemitetech.com/products

While I have not personally tried it, from what I understand from the
eDirectory documentation, any good backup program for Linux will work.
You should look at the part of the documentation regarding "roll back
logs" and the eDirectory backup utility. This may have to run as a cron
job, so you should be familiar with that as well.

Subject: [MSUNAG] Novell eDirectory compliant backup

I'm in the early phases of a Novell eDirectory rollout and was wondering
if any one on campus had any recommendations for a good backup solution.

I am running all Suse, Open Enterprise servers and will also have a
GroupWise7 server.

Thank you.
