"Subject: Ntweb11b Is down this afternoon

As many of you may already know, the AIS production public web server
(NTweb11b.ais.msu.edu) is currently down. Systems in public web server space
on this server are unavailable, and users may have called you regarding
various error messages.

The outage was caused by a serious server problem. The server environment is
being re-established on backup hardware, with service restoration expected
this evening.

We are sorry that this outage has negatively affected your office and
customers. Please call if there is anything we can do to assist you.
