You can prevent NT/ W2K pros from being master browsers by setting the value
of
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Browser\Parameters\MaintainServerList
to NO.

On Win 9x machines you set
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD\VnetSetup\MaintainServerList to 0.
